MARCIE TAYLOR MEDIA

I am a marketing professional, who specializes in social media strategy, public relations and community building. I am a writer, photographer and content creator. For three years, I was the Social Media Manager at Acorn Woods Communications, a boutique public relations and marketing firm specializing in motorsports. Prior to that, I was the Social Media Strategist for Pacific Dental Services, an INC 500/5000 company and a leader in the dental industry.

Over the last ten years, I have also handled social media and PR for independent clients including: Surf City Surf Dog, the world-renowned dog surfing competition in Huntington Beach, CA; Surf Dog Unleashed, the pioneer dog surfing competition in San Diego; the Taste of Huntington Beach, a culinary fundraiser for the Friends of the Children’s Library; the Aerospace Education Foundation of Huntington Beach, the non-profit organization behind the Huntington Beach Airshow, Modern Moto Magazine, Project Hope Alliance, and SOCO and the OC Mix, Festival Ballet Theatre , and Southland Ballet Academy

Current clients include The Banning Museum, WISEPlace, Locca Churros and Tea and SunForce Organics.  

I have spoken on Social Media Marketing and PR at Toy Fest West (2015), a toy industry trade show in Las Vegas and as a guest lecturer in college classes at Chapman University and Fullerton College. As a freelance writer and media professional, I have contributed to magazines including LA Travel Magazine, OC Family Magazine, Orange County Register newpaper, Pelican Hill Resort Magazine, Metrokids (a parenting publication in New Jersey and Pennsylvania), Cuizine, Architectural Lighting (a trade publication), Filipinas Magazine and various online magazines. I was a columnist for OC Family Magazine (Orange County) and Filipino Express (New Jersey) I wrote and published the book “Missing Mangoes” (2003) and was a contributing writer to the book “A Taste of Home” (2009).
